Job Description
Job Summary (List Format) IT Deployment and Testing Technician
- Deploy and configure desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers for clinical and administrative environments.
- Install software and ensure proper system configurations and application installations.
- Set up hardware in compliance with organizational standards and security policies.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral issues; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing of devices to support Epic Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) and validate Epic system readiness.
- Test device connectivity, application performance, and Epic workflow functionality.
- Document device deployments, configurations, testing outcomes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Prepare and contribute to reports on deployment, testing results, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to schedule and perform installations and testing with minimal disruption.
- Assist users with training and provide basic guidance on new devices and systems.
- Attend team meetings and provide updates on deployment and testing status.
- Must be able to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs and travel between facilities as needed.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work depending on project requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare IT environments, knowledge of Epic or EHR systems, and IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+.
